Using Attendance Logs
As an HR user, using attendance logs allows you to take employees attendance using three ways:
- Pulling from fingerprint machine.
- Taking employees attendance manually.
- Importing an attendance .CSV file into the system.
Pulling attendance logs from a machine
Note that based on a fingerprint machine you can connect to the system, you can pull employees’ attendance.
For more information on connecting a machine, please check the “Adding a Machine” tutorial.
- From “Attendance” in the navigation menu, select “Attendance Logs“.
- Click the down-arrow next to ‘Import File’.
- Select “Pull From Machine“.
- You’ll find a list of all employees’ attendance based on their signs using the machine.
Taking employees attendance manually
- Select “Attendance” from the navigation menu.
- Select “Attendance Logs“.
- Click the down-arrow next to Import File.
- Select “Take Employees Attendance“.
- This opens an attendance session where you can log the attendance of more than one employee.
- Select the “Employee” you wish to log attendance for from the drop-down menu.
- Click “Sign“.

- You can log another employee in using the same steps or simply, click the cross button to close the pop-up window.
- This creates an “Open” session.
- Log in another employee by clicking the button “Sign“.
- View the session’s Details, Session Log which displays the employees logged or Activity Log.
- Click the button “Close” to end the session.

Importing Employees Attendance
- Select “Attendance” from the navigation menu.
- Select “Attendance Logs“.
- Click the button “Import File“.
- Click “Choose File” to browse your device and upload file. Make sure it’s a .CSV file.
- Select “Delimiter” from the drop-down menu.
- Comma Separated
- Semi column Separated
- Tab-Delimited
- Import First Row: Option to tick the checkbox in case you wish to import the first row in the file.
- Machine: Option to select a connected machine you have pre-set.
- Click “Next Step“.
- Map the system fields’ onto their correspondent column headers in the imported file.
- Employee: Select the column that corresponds to “Employee” from the drop-down menu.
- Time: Select the column that corresponds to “Time” from the drop-down menu.
- Click “Import“.
- View a summary of the records imported successfully and the records that failed to be imported (if there were any).
Exporting Employees Attendance File
- Select “Attendance” from the navigation menu.
- Select “Attendance Logs“.
- Click the button “Export“.
- Select or unselect the fields you wish to be exported using the checkboxes.
- Click “Export” once done.
- A .CSV file of the employees’ attendance logs will download.
Deleting an Attendance Log
- Select “Attendance” from the navigation menu.
- Select “Attendance Logs“.
- Select the attendance log entry you wish to delete.
- Click the button “Delete“.
- Note that you cannot delete already in-use attendance log entries.
