Setting the barcode Type
- Select “Inventory” using the drop-down menu.
- Select “Products Settings“.
- Click the card “Barcode Settings“.
- Select the type of the barcode using the drop-down menu from
- Code 128
- EAN 13
- Click “Save“.
Setting Weight Embedded Barcode
- Select “Inventory” using the drop-down menu.
- Select “Products Settings“.
- Click the card “Barcode Settings“.
- Check the checkbox “Enable Weight Embedded Barcode“.
- Input the weight embedded barcode settings
- Embedded Barcode Format: Input the barcode format to be read using the barcode scanner according to the type of your barcode and weight device using the example where:
- X; the count of X represents the product’s barcode.
- Note that the code and count X is the product’s barcode stored in the product’s file. For more information on adding a product’s barcode, please refer to the tutorial “Managing Products’ Barcodes“.
- W; the count of W represents the product’s weight.
- P; the count of P represents the product’s price.
- N; a negligible number.
- e.g. Input “XXXXXXXWWWWN” in case your barcode returns the weight.
- e.g. Input “XXXXXXXPPPPPN” in case your barcode returns the price.
- X; the count of X represents the product’s barcode.
- Weight Unit Divider: Input the weight divider; in case your barcode calculates in gm, input “1000”.
- Note that the system uses this field to calculate the price using the given weight from the scanned barcode.
- Currency Divider: Input the currency divider depending on your used currency; in case your barcode calculates in cents, input “100”.
- Note that the system uses this field to calculate the weight using the given price from the scanned barcode.
- Embedded Barcode Format: Input the barcode format to be read using the barcode scanner according to the type of your barcode and weight device using the example where:
- Click “Save“.
