To add a new contract for an employee or user
- Select “Payroll” from the navigation menu.
- Click “Contracts“.
- Click the button “New Contract” to add a new one.

- Contract Information
- Employee: Select the employee from the drop-down menu by simply typing their name’s first letter or two.

- Code: A sequential code that’s auto-filled for contracts.
- Check this tutorial if you wish to change its format; “Editing the Auto-numbering Sequence“.
- Designation: Select the employee’s designation from a drop-down menu of preadded designations.
- To add a new designation, please check the tutorial “Adding a Designation“.
- Employment Level: Select the employee’s level from a drop-down menu of preadded employment levels.
- To add a new employment level, please check the tutorial “Adding an Employee Level“.
- Master Contract: Select a previous contract for the same employee from the drop-down menu in case of contract renewal, for reference purposes.
- Description: [Optional] Enter a description of the contract.
- Start Date: Select the start date of the contract using the calendar widget by clicking the field.
- Duration: Input the number of years or months of the contract in the first field and select from the drop-down menu whether that number is a number of Year(s) or Month(s) in the second field.
- Note that the End Date will be calculated automatically based on the start date and duration input. If you wish to change that, select the End Date radio button and input it, note that this will disable inputting the duration.
- End Date: End date of the contract; automatically filled based on start date and duration input.
- Join Date: Input the employee’s initial join date. (Note that the join date doesn’t change with contract renewal).
- Probation End Date: Input the employee’s probation period end date.
- Contract Sign Date: Input the date of signing the contract.
- Salary Information
- Currency: Select the salary’s currency from the drop-down menu.
- Salary Structure: [Only prominent in case you have created a custom salary structure]. Select the salary structure from the drop-down menu to find the earning and deduction components auto-filled based on the defined salary structure.
- You can still make edits as needed.

- Payroll Frequency: Select the payroll frequency from the drop-down menu. Choose whether the salary is received Bi-weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually or Annually.
- Earning: Input the salary’s Amount.
- Deduction: [Optional] Input a deduction Component, Formula and Amount by clicking the “Add” button.

- Attachments (Optional)

- Add related attachments or files; for example, a copy of the contract.
- Click “Save” once you’re done.
- You can “Save as Draft” from the arrow button next to “Save“, or “Cancel“.
