To add a new time tracking entry
- From the navigation menu, select “Time Tracking“.
- Select “Time Tracking“.
- Select the “Date of Entry” using the calendar by clicking the down arrow next to the date at the top of the screen, the default is the current date.
- Select the “Employee/ User” you wish to register an entry for using the drop-down menu next to the date at the top of the screen, the default is “My Timesheet“.
- Click the button “New Entry“.
- Add the new entry information using the pop-up window
- Project: Select the project worked on using the drop-down menu.
- For more information on adding projects, please refer to the tutorial “Adding a new Project“.
- Activity: Select the project-related activity worked on using the drop-down menu.
- For more information on adding activities, please refer to the tutorial “Adding a new Activity“.
- Time: Log in the time entry using either one of two ways:
- Input the time logged working on this project and activity in the “Time” input field.
- Examples of the time format to be used are [00:30 to log in 30 minutes of work, 1:00 to log in one hour of work, 2:30 to log in two and a half hours of work, …].
- Use the “Stopwatch” at the bottom of the window to log in time entry as you work. Click the “Play” button to start the time and the “Pause” to pause or end, you will find the time logged for this project.
- Clicking the “Refresh” red button refreshes the time back to 0:00.
- Note that to use the stopwatch, you cannot perform any actions using this screen until you end using it.
- Input the time logged working on this project and activity in the “Time” input field.
- Notes: Add entry-related notes.
- Staff: Select the user/employee who worked on the project.
- Note that the Staff is auto-selected in case you have selected it beforehand in the screen, refer to step 4.
- Project: Select the project worked on using the drop-down menu.
- Click the button “Add” once done.
- Based on the “Employee Hourly Rate” set, the system calculates the employee’s fees of the time tracking entry input.
