To add a new commission rule
- Select “Sales Target & Commissions” from the navigation menu.
- Select “Commission Rules“.
- Click the button “New Commission Rule“.
- Input the commission rule information
- Commission Name: Input the commission rule name.
- Status: Select the commission rule’s status using the drop-down menu; Active or Inactive.
- Period: Select the commission rule’s period of application using the drop-down menu; Annually, Monthly or Quarterly.
- Commission Calculation: Select the invoice payment condition for the commission to take effect using the drop-down menu; Fully-Paid Invoices, or Partially-Paid Invoices.
- Employee(s): Select the employee(s) who will be assigned the commission rule by typing their names and selecting from the drop-down menu.
- In case you need to add a new employee, please refer to the tutorial “Adding an Employee“.
- Currency: Select the currency of the commission.
- Applied to the following items:
- Item: Using the drop-down menu, select whether you wish the commission to apply on a certain “Item“, “Category“, or “All Products“.
- Fill in the name of the item or category in the field according to your selection by clicking the field and selecting from the drop-down menu.
- Commission Percent: Input the commission numeric percentage to be applied in relation to the items/ categories specified.
- Use the “Add” button to add one more line to be included in the same rule.
- Item: Using the drop-down menu, select whether you wish the commission to apply on a certain “Item“, “Category“, or “All Products“.
- Target Type: Using the radio button, select whether you’d like the commission to be calculated based on a Target Revenue, or a Target Volume.
- Target Revenue: Input a specified revenue the salesperson is supposed to achieve for the commission rule to apply.
- Target Volume: Input a specified quantity of the products/ services that the salesperson is supposed to achieve selling for the commission rule to apply.
- Notes: Add any commission-related notes.
- Click “Save” once done.
- Note that you cannot assign more than one commission rule to the same employee.
