Prerequisites
“Discount” in Inventory has to be activated in order to set a permanent(editable) discount to be applied on either a product, service or bundle item and display automatically when the item is used in an invoice.
To activate this feature, check the checkbox “Advances Pricing Options” in Inventory Settings from Inventory > Inventory Settings > General.

To set a discount on an item
- Select “Inventory” from the navigation menu.
- Select “Products & Services“.
- Add a new product or edit an existing one as required.
- For more information, please refer to “Adding a Product” or “Editing a Product“.
- Input the “Discount” details in the item’s “Pricing Details“.
- Discount: the discount amount.
- Discount Type: Select the type; “%” or “$“, from drop-down menu.
- Proceed with Product data entry or editing as required.
- Click “Save” to save the new item or “Update” to save your edits.
