Close a Custody
After fully settling an employee custody, you can officially close it to prevent any further modifications. This guide explains when you can close a custody and what happens after closure.
Before You Begin
- The remaining balance of the custody must be zero.
- The custody status must be “Settled.”
- The “Close” button will only appear when both conditions above are met.
Steps to Close a Custody
- From the main menu, click Finance.
- Select Employee Custody.
- Open the required custody from the list.
- Click the status change button.
- Click “Close.”
- A confirmation message will appear: “Are you sure you want to close this employee custody?”
- Click “Confirm” to complete the closure.
What Happens After Closing?
Status Updated: The custody status changes from “Settled” to “Closed.”
Custody Locked: The custody becomes read-only. None of the following actions will be permitted:
- Editing any field in the custody.
- Deleting any field in the custody.
- Adding a new settlement line.
- Deleting any existing settlement line.
