How can I set the business nature of sales for both products and services?
Go to Inventory → Inventory & Products Settings, then open the Product Settings card and go to “Default System Values,” scroll down to the “Inventory Item Types” section, select “Both Services & Products,” then click “Save.”
The three available options are:
- Products Only — for a business that offers only products, allowing you to track their quantities, manage them as inventory units, and issue vouchers to record incoming and outgoing stock movements according to inventory settings.
- Services Only — for a business that offers only services, allowing you to specify a duration for them and use them in bookings and projects.
- Both Services & Products — for a business that offers both.
This setting controls what can be added to the inventory. You can update it later without affecting existing items or records, so don’t worry about changing it once you’ve started working.
