Weight Embedded Barcode
The system allows you to add a barcode that identifies the product by weight. Refer to the “Activate Weight Barcodes for Products” guide to learn more about this feature and how to activate it.
Scale Barcode Scan Behavior
When the weight-embedded barcode feature is enabled, you can control how the system handles each scale barcode scan on invoices and POS orders. To access this setting:
- Click on “Inventory”, then “Inventory & Product Settings”, then “Barcode Settings.”
- From the “Weight-Embedded Barcode” section — this section only appears when the “Enable Weight-Embedded Barcode” option is active — select the scale barcode scan behavior from one of the two options:
- Merge into Existing Line (Default): When the same product is scanned multiple times, its weight is added to the quantity of the existing line.
- Add as Separate Line: Each scan creates a new line for the product, allowing you to review individual piece weights separately.
- Click “Save.”
This setting only affects scale barcodes (weight-embedded) — standard barcodes and manually added products are not affected. The setting applies to Sales Invoices, Sales Orders, Estimates, and POS orders (web and mobile).
