Can a previous approval be undone? What happens after undoing it?

Yes, any approver can undo their previous approval or rejection on a leave request, as long as the next level has not yet taken any action. Once undone, the following happens automatically:

  • The request reopens at the same level where the undo took place.
  • A notification is sent to all concerned parties about the undo.
  • The action is recorded in the activity log, showing that the approval/rejection was undone.

Note: A request that has been finalized (Approved) after completing all approval levels cannot be undone; once the approval cycle is fully closed, the system blocks any subsequent undo attempt.
