Can I skip an approval level in exceptional cases?

There is no manual option to skip a specific approval level for exceptional or urgent cases — the system only bypasses an approval level automatically in one scenario: when the approver at that level is the same person who has already approved at an earlier level within the same request.

If you need to speed up approvals in general, you can enable the “Allow higher levels to approve early” option when configuring multi-cycle approval. This allows an approver at a higher level to approve or reject before lower levels are completed, immediately finalizing the approval path and automatically skipping the remaining levels.

To permanently change the approval path — such as removing a level or changing approvers — you can go to Approval Configuration and update the applied setting.
