Add Asset Physical Location

Physical Locations — Add New Location

This screen allows you to add a new physical location that can be selected when assigning assets or specifying where they are stored.

Access Methods

From the Employees Module:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Click on Physical Locations.
  • From the list, click Add Physical Location.

From the Accounting Module:

  • Go to Accounting Settings.
  • Click on Physical Locations.
  • From the list, click Add Physical Location.

Steps to Add a Location

  • Click on Add Physical Location from the list.
  • Enter the Location NameRequired and must be unique.
  • Enter the DescriptionOptional.
  • Check the Status — it is enabled by default.
  • Click Save to create the record.
  • To cancel without saving, click Cancel to return to the list.

Notes

  • The Location Name field is mandatory and cannot be duplicated.
  • Only active locations appear in the physical location selection list when creating or editing employee assets.
