Deleting a Cost Sheet Linked to a Contract from the Project File

This feature allows the system user to delete cost sheets linked to a specific project, to keep the data list clean and free of unwanted sheets.

Before You Begin

  • You must have the “Edit & Delete All Cost Sheets” permission or the “Edit & Delete His Own (Created) Cost Sheets” permission to be able to delete a cost sheet; without either, the delete button is completely hidden.

Steps to Delete a Cost Sheet

  1. From the sidebar menu, click on “Construction,” then go to “Projects.”
  2. Click the “View” button for any project that contains cost sheets.
  3. Open the “Cost Sheets” tab.
  4. Click the “Delete” icon for the required cost sheet.
  5. Confirm the deletion once the confirmation message appears.

Validation Rules

  • If the cost sheet is “Approved” and linked to a quotation, the following warning message appears: “Are you sure you want to delete Cost Sheet #[code]? Cost Sheet #[code] is approved and linked to Construction Quotation #[code]”.
  • If the cost sheet is linked to a quotation and to a contract with a status of “Active,” “Canceled,” or “Closed,” it cannot be deleted at all, and the message “Contracted Cost Sheets can’t be deleted.” appears.
  • In other cases, the standard deletion confirmation message appears: “Are you sure you want to delete Cost Sheet #[code]?”
