Viewing a Cost Sheet from the Project File
This screen allows the system user to view the details of a cost sheet linked to a project, track it, and manage it.
Before You Begin
- The user must have the “View All Cost Sheets” or “View His Own (Created) Cost Sheets” permission to be able to view the cost sheet; if neither permission is available, the “View” button disappears entirely.
Steps to View a Cost Sheet
- From the side menu, click “Construction”, then go to “Projects”.
- Click the “View” button for any project that contains cost sheets.
- Open the “Cost Sheets” tab.
- Click the “View” button for the cost sheet.
How the System Works
Page Header
- The cost sheet title.
- A colored badge next to the title showing the current status of the cost sheet: Draft, Issued, or Approved.
- When a construction quotation is linked to the cost sheet (whether created manually or automatically upon approval), a clickable link appears directly below the title: “Construction Quotation: #[code]”, which redirects to the quotation’s view screen.
- Status change buttons: the buttons shown at the top right of the screen vary depending on the cost sheet’s current status:
- In “Draft” status: only the “Issue” button appears, to change the status to “Issued”.
- In “Issued” status: the “Approve” button appears to change the status to “Approved”, or “Set as Draft” to change the status back to “Draft”.
- In “Approved” status: no status-change button appears — this is the final status in the cost sheet’s lifecycle.
Main Actions
- Edit: to edit the cost sheet’s data.
- Printables: a dropdown menu with printing and export options for the cost sheet.
- Create Construction Quotation: to create a quotation linked to the cost sheet.
- Delete: to delete the cost sheet.
- Reject: this action only appears when the cost sheet’s status is “Issued”.
Tabs
- Details: displays the cost sheet information (client, project, duration, start and end dates, Tax 1/2, total price, budget, description, attachments), and the Bill of Quantities (item, quantity, consumption/unit, unit cost, cost, profit, sale rate, total profit, subtotal, Tax 1, Tax 2, total), with support for nested sub-items and the ability to view the table in full-screen mode.
- Construction Quotations: appears only when a quotation is linked to the cost sheet, and displays a table including the construction quotation number, the link to the cost sheet, client name, price, the name of the quotation’s creator, and its status, with a counter next to the tab name showing their count. Clicking the quotation number opens its full details view screen directly.
- Activity Log: displays the actions and operations performed on the cost sheet, showing the time and date of the operation, the responsible user, and the branch, with edits highlighted by their new and old values, and the ability to filter by time period, actor, or action type.
