Deactivate Unit Type
The system allows you to deactivate an active rental unit type to prevent it from being selected when creating new units, without having to delete it from the system.
Steps to Deactivate a Rental Unit Type
- From the main menu, click on “Rental and Unit Management“.
- Click on “Settings“.
- Click on the “Unit Types” card.
- Search for the unit type you want to deactivate.
- Open the unit type and click the “Deactivate” button.
How the System Works
- The unit type status changes to Inactive immediately and is updated in both the list and the view page.
- The unit type will no longer appear in the selection list when adding a new rental unit.
- The deactivation action is recorded in the general activity log and in the unit type’s own activity log.
Validation Rules
- Deactivating a unit type does not affect any units, seasonal prices, or reservation orders that were previously linked to it.
- If all unit types are inactive, the user will not be able to add a new rental unit.
