Cloning the Project
This feature allows the system user to clone an existing project to create new, similar projects, without needing to re-enter its data from scratch.
Before You Begin
- You must have the “Add Projects” permission to be able to clone a project.
Steps to Clone the Project
A project can be cloned in one of two ways:
- From the sidebar menu, click on “Construction,” then go to “Projects.”
- Click the “Clone” button for the required project directly from the projects list, or click the “View” button to open the project’s details screen, then click the “Clone” button.
How the System Works
- When a project is cloned, all of its data is duplicated, but with a new creation date (the current date) and a new sequential number.
- You’re automatically redirected to the new project’s add screen.
- Not cloned: the linked bid, cost sheets, quotations, contract(s), payment certificates, or any other data related to the project.
