To add a menu item in the website's navigation bar
- From the navigation menu, select “Shopfront“.
- Select “Manage Content“.
- Click the card “Manage Menu Items“.
- Input the menu item’s information
- Title: Input the title/name of the menu item.
- Type: Select the menu item’s type using the drop-down menu from either of the following
- Category: Selecting the type “Category” creates a menu item with the Title input displaying a certain category of products or services.
- Select the category desired from the field “Categories” using the drop-down menu.
- Note that a Category of products/services needs to be pre-created in that regard. For more information, please refer to the tutorial “Adding a Category“.
- Select the category desired from the field “Categories” using the drop-down menu.
- Contact Us Page: Selecting the type “Contact Us Page” creates a menu item with the Title input displaying the same content as the “Contact Us Page” in “Content Pages” that you can edit.
- The following “Contact Us Page” field is selected by default.
- Content Page: Selecting the type “Content Page” creates a menu item with the Title input displaying one of the pages you created in “Content Pages” based on your selection.
- Select the content page desired from the field “Content Pages” using the drop-down menu.
- Note that a Content Page needs to be pre-created in that regard. For more information on creating a content page, please refer to the tutorial “Creating a Content Page“.
- Select the content page desired from the field “Content Pages” using the drop-down menu.
- Home Page: Selecting the type “Home Page” creates a menu item with the Title input displaying the same content as the one on the website’s homepage that you can edit.
- The following “Home Page” field is selected by default.
- Link: Selecting the type “Link” creates a menu item with the Title input that redirects users to a specified link that you input.
- Input the link desired in the “Link” field. (ex. https://www.google.com/)
- Product: Selecting the type “Product” creates a menu item with the Title input displaying a certain product or service that you select.
- Select the product or service desired from the field “Products” using the drop-down menu.
- Note that a product/service needs to be pre-created in that regard. For more information, please refer to the tutorial “Adding a product/ service“.
- Select the product or service desired from the field “Products” using the drop-down menu.
- Category: Selecting the type “Category” creates a menu item with the Title input displaying a certain category of products or services.
- Click the button “Add“.
- You will find the menu item created added in the list of the menu items on the right-hand side.
- For more information on editing, ordering and leveling the menu items, please refer to the tutorial “Ordering and Leveling Menu Items“.
- You will find the menu item created added in the list of the menu items on the right-hand side.
- Click “Save” once done.
