Do printer groups differ between branches?

This depends on whether the Branch feature is enabled on your account:

• Branch feature enabled: Printer groups are independent per branch — each branch has its own groups, categories, and printer assignments, and the app displays the settings for the currently selected branch. Set up each branch separately according to its own departments — a restaurant whose first branch has a kitchen and bar and whose second branch has only a kitchen sets up each with its own groups accordingly.
• Branch feature not enabled: The system uses a single account-wide printer group configuration.

In both cases, settings are synchronized between the web dashboard and the app — any change from either side is reflected on the other.

A group name only needs to be unique within the same branch — two groups in different branches can share the same name (such as “Kitchen” in each branch) without any conflict.
