Yes, you can edit the default tax names at any time from the tax settings.
Changing the tax name does not affect its link to the official UAE tax code in the UAE E-Invoicing settings, because the system keeps the connection using the tax ID, not the tax name.
For example, if you rename “Standard Rated (VAT)” to “VAT 5%”, the tax will still remain linked correctly to the SR code, and the correct code will continue to appear in electronic invoices.
